To join a SEA Small Group activity, you must be a SEA member. The SEA is always looking for new group ideas and leaders (SEA members) for these groups. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with your suggestions.
Architecture Study Group
This group meets the second Tuesday each month from September to June. Members take turns at researching aspects of Shanghai’s architecture and presenting their discoveries to the Group. For more information, please email Carolyn Robertson email@example.com
The group meets monthly on the second or third Friday of each month from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm, September to June. We meet at members’ homes and share the responsibility of leading discussions. For more information, please email Anita Laurila at firstname.lastname@example.org. Click SEA Book Club Calendar to access reading list.
This is a new activity for those who love to cook and try new foods. This group will meet on the 1st Thursday of the month, at 10:30am, at interested members’ homes, and take turns hosting. Each month’s hostess will choose and prepare, together with the other members, a main dish, perhaps a representative dish from the host’s home country or some favorite dish. The other participating members will contribute the other dishes for the meal, i.e. a starter, a soup, salad or dessert. The group will cook together, have fun and share recipes. If interested, email Barbara Braeuer at email@example.com
International Women’s Choir
The International Women’s Choir changed the venue back to meet at JZ School on Wu Kang Lu every Tuesday from 12:30pm to 2:30pm. The choir will be on summer break after the May 8 performance at SEA coffee morning. This is a no-audition required fun group. Instrumentalists and piano players are welcome, too. Meet new friends while enjoying singing. Please contact Theresa at firstname.lastname@example.org.
