To join the Shanghai Expatriate Association (SEA), you must be a foreign-passport holder (Chinese government regulation). Our members represent more than 50 nationalities, with roughly 50% of our members being native English-speakers.

The SEA membership year is from 1 September to 31 August of the following year, and the annual family membership fee is 350 RMB. Membership in the SEA entitles you to attend any of our day and evening events, Small Group activities, and China and International Tours.

In addition, as a member of the organization, you will receive SEA publications, which include annual tour booklets, bi-annual membership directories and our sought-after monthly publication, The Courier (published from September to June).

To attain membership,
1. You can sign up at any of our monthly coffees held the second Monday of each month at the JC Mandarin Hotel Ballroom, 1225 Nanjing Xi Lu from 10am - noon. We welcome you to join us, it's a wonderful way to meet others.

2. You can sign up at any of our events if you let the coordinator know in advance. Visit the "Events" page and contact the coordinator directly.

3. Email us at membership@seashanghai.org and we will send you a list of representatives in your area to assist you.
