The two most scenic areas in the Sichuan province are Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong Valley, both UNESCO sites and natural wonderlands. Jiuzhaigou is best known for its many multi-level waterfalls and dozens of blue, green and turquoise-colored lakes. The local Tibetan people call them “Haizi” meaning “son of the sea.”The Huanglong Valley is famous for its remarkable landscape of limestone formations and approximately 3,400 multi-colored ponds.

DAY 1
Fly to Jiuzhaigou via Chengdu. Upon arrival, drive two hours to Jiuzhaiou Sheraton Hotel.

DAY 2
The name Jiuzhaigou came from the nine Tibetan villages scattered throughout the valley. It is nature’s jewel, with majestic emerald lakes, layered waterfalls, colorful forests, snowy peaks and Tibetan folk villages - all blending in harmony. Comprised of three valleys arranged in a Y shape, the Rize and Zechawa Gullies flow from the south and meet at the Shuzheng Gully, flowing north to the mouth of the valley. We will have the whole day here to enjoy the magnificent natural scenery. To protect the environment, we will move around in the valley by public electric bus. This evening, we will be treated to a cultural performance of Tibetan dance & music.

DAY 3
This morning, we will rise early and drive 160 km to the Huanglong Valley, which lies at the foot of Snow Treasure Peak, the major peak of Mt. Minshan. In this area, we will see approximately 2,300 multi-colored ponds which reflect a variety of colors due to their varied depth, mineral pigments and deposits. In the afternoon, we will transfer to the airport for our return flight to Shanghai.
