“Seen from far away, Yangcheng Lake looks like a piece of shiny jade in the sun.” Bato from Cycle China will lead us to take in the lake views while cycling an easy and relaxing 20 km around the perimeter on well-paved roads that are made only for bikes. Afterwards, visit the highly-rated Chongyuan Temple and see the highest and heaviest above-water indoor Guanyin (Goddess of Mercy) Pavilion in China. A 20 minute boat ride will take you to Lotus Island where you’ll have lunch at a restaurant serving local specialties and visit a folk museum to learn about the history of the lake region. After taking the boat back to the mainland, the bus will take you back to Shanghai.
