Who would think that an apartment near Yuyuan Garden would be full of treasures from the last century? Please join our guide Lisa Zhu for a private visit to a local home. The owner, Mr. Zhao, is a carpenter with a passion for antiques and music who makes rare traditional Chinese instruments and furniture. We will visit his amazing collection, which spans from the Ming and Qing dynasties through the Cultural Revolution—he may even be willing to sell some of his collection. Mr. Zhao will also give us tips on how to tell fakes from real antiques, and if you would like an opinion on your own pieces, please feel free to bring them along.
