Shanghai has an extremely efficient public transportation system. Not only is it convenient for local citizens, but it also provides an interesting platform for foreign residents to learn more about culture and customs. Lisa Zhu will guide us in an exploration of Shanghai’s subway system. We will learn about the city’s geography, history, and how it continues to expand. During the tour, we will ride on 4 or 5 different metro lines and see how to get to some great locations that you can explore later – parks, a famous university, an underground mall, good restaurants, and local residential developments. Please note that the purpose of the tour is learn how to use the system efficiently and learn your way around the city. Therefore, most of the stops are just quick stops outside of the facility. You can explore these locations in more detail on your own.
