We will start the bike ride with tour guide Bato in Xuhui Riverside and bike along the Huangpu River. After checking out the former expo sites, our group will take a ferry to Pudong. In Lujiazui, we will take the new bike lane, which passes by public parks, sport centers, the Modern Museum of Art, and much more. After pedaling in the financial center area, we will take the ferry back to Puxi and bike to the former Shanghai Ghetto in Hongkou, once home to Jewish refugees in Shanghai during World War II. Our ride ends at a Xiahai Buddhist Temple. After checking out the woodcarvings and the sculptures there, we will have a vegetarian meal at a restaurant next to the temple.
