In the heart of Shanghai, remains an old noodle production where they still make noodles with a machine that’s over half a century old. All the workers in this small production have been working there for their entire life, and most of the customers have been eating noodles from this place ever since they grew up. Lisa Zhu will take us to this small but reputable old noodle production before it disappears into history. We will get to see the process of turning the flour into fresh noodles with the old machine. We will start our walk at the old Shanghai shikumen neighborhood to learn about how locals use to live before the urbanization changed the city’s traditional life style.
