The Chinese will be rocking out in spectacular fashion for the New Year! Lunar New Year is the most popular Chinese family celebration all year as it marks the end of the winter season and is the one time during the year when most Chinese families gather together from near and far. SEA invites you on a night tour of the beautiful Yu Gardens Lantern Festival, or Yuanxiao, with our guide Lisa Zhu. She will enlighten you and your family with the history and culture of the most important Chinese festival. There will be photo ops galore with beautiful lanterns strung throughout the paths of Yu Garden, leading to the Nine-Bend Bridge and the Tea House. We’ll solve New Year riddles and taste TangYuan—rice dumplings with sweet or meat fillings! Bring your camera and bundle up for our two-hour walk. Strollers are not recommended as the crowds can be large.
