Event Details

  • Date:

Get to know how to use a sewing machine in this jam-packed class! We will start with learning how to wind a bobbin, thread a sewing machine, change needles, sew in a straight line, and change directions. We will then move onto cutting out a simple pattern to create an envelope cushion cover, aka a pillow slipcover. There will be a short break for lunch from Spread the Bagel (provided as part of the course!). During the second half of the class we will further our skills, making a tote bag, which includes creating and sewing a pocket, adding straps, and using French seams. This class is 4.5 hours long and includes all resources and materials. Full instructions are provided, and attendees will walk away with two completed projects. It is the perfect introduction for beginners to this addictive hobby!
