Please join SEA as we unite with Deutscher Club Shanghai for International Women’s Day; a day that celebrates the social, economic, cultural, and political achievement of women. The House of Roosevelt at Bund 27 is a neo-classical building originally built in 1920. The Roosevelt family renovated the building in 2008 with a commitment to preserving the history and restoring the past glory of the architecture. The family has a long-standing and unique connection with China and the Chinese people which began with President Theodore Roosevelt, the 26th President of the United States of America. The House of Roosevelt Chairman is Mr. Tweed Roosevelt, the great-grandson of U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt, and nephew of the 32nd President of the United States of America, Franklin D. Roosevelt. Today, we are invited to take a tour of this historical building and celebrate International Women’s Day with Deutscher Club Shanghai.
