Chinese invented ink not long after they started to write. We’ve all been impressed watching the art of calligraphy, but do you know how the ink is made and why some ink is so expensive? Our guide Lisa Zhu invites us to find the answers by visiting the ink factory, hidden in downtown Shanghai. Bring your camera for some unique photo opportunities! Also, bring along an air mask and avoid wearing light colors as there is ink powder in the air throughout the factory.
