This is a beginner level class for people who want to learn Suzhou double-sided embroidery. We first gain a brief introduction of Suzhou embroidery by our teacher A Zi. She is the non-material cultural descendant of Suzhou embroidery and K’o-ssy. Then we will copy the flower pattern to the handkerchief and learn how to split silk thread. After all these, we begin to embroider. You are free to change your pattern, but we promise that the pattern we chose is more suitable for beginners.
