Jade is known as “the stone of heaven” and has been revered by the Chinese throughout the centuries. What is jade and why is it so special to the Chinese? How do we know a stone is genuine jade and not a fake? Join Winda Lee, a gemologist and veteran jewelry designer, and founder of Eden Jewelry in Hong Kong for a jewelry talk focusing on all things jade. Winda will familiarize us with the different types of jade stones available on the market. She will also show us how to identify Burmese jade (jadeite) and soft jade (nephrite).
