Unfortunately this event has been cancelled. Traditional Chinese musical instruments provide a link to the past. Whether played alone or in an orchestra, these contemporary versions of ancient-styled instruments bring to life the music of the ancestors and embody the spirit of an entire nation. Today, we will have the opportunity to visit Shanghai No.1 National Musical Instruments Factory to learn about traditional Chinese musical instruments and see how they are made. Afterwards, we will visit the Shanghai Symphony Hall where we will see the beautiful auditorium and learn the insider’s story of how to run a theatre.
