Unfortunately this event has been cancelled.
Guided by photojournalist and Shanghai’s Jewish history expert Dvir Bar-Gal, this 3-hour walk will offer a new look at old things. Bring your camera to capture Shanghai’s treasured, yet disappearing scenes, or just enjoy the fascinating street sights without a camera. We will walk off the beaten paths of the Old City. Starting at the east gate area, we will stroll westward through the disappearing lanes and markets, through an invisible time tunnel to Xintiandi. Bar-Gal will share his experiences and suggest ways to look at the ever-changing city and areas that will soon be gone. We recommend that you have comfortable walking shoes, bottled water and a snack. Space on this tour is very limited.
