Our guide Lisa Zhu invites us to experience brunch like the local Shanghainese, right before they all leave town for Chinese New Year. We will venture into a local neighborhood and see how they eat their way through the day. We will eat hot congyoubing, a yi’s hundun, and danbing made from special dough, slurp some famous tangyuan, and enjoy yummy xiaolongbao and crispy fried cifangao. We will explore all the delicious spots that are hidden in this old, and slowly disappearing, neighborhood. This is a great family friendly event. Come hungry and dress appropriately for the weather as we will be walking from place to place.
