Bridging the East-West Cultural Divide (CANCELLED)

Event Details

Eventually this event has been cancelled.

The team at Shanghai and Beyond presents a thought provoking analysis on the contrast between Chinese and American society, two countries that are geographically and economically similar, yet historically and philosophically different. What happens when individualism bumps into collectivism? How did nature and agriculture play a role in forming our values? How do actions and perceptions differ in independent vs interdependent societies? This talk is sure to bring out moments of enlightenment and perhaps, a deeper reflection of how culture hides more than it reveals.

Please join us for dinner and/or drinks after or during the presentation. Dinner menu with happy hour prices will be available and the venue will be closed to the public.
