Native to Shanghai, artist Ann Niu has studied calligraphy since childhood. Her painting reflects the influence of diverse cultures and artistic forms that shaped her personality while living abroad. In her new solo exhibition entitled “Flash – Flash,” Ann Niu uses glitters as her main pictorial language, creating a dynamic and extravagant body of countless flickers. As it is impossible to capture the effect on digital screens, the audience is bound to view the work with their own eyes to experience the momentum. The artist talk will be held at ArtCN’s charming new location on Jiangsu Lu near Huashan Lu, which was a former artist studio.
