Join this walking tour to learn about the architectural style that defined the Jazz Age and dominated Shanghai style during the 1930s — especially in the leafy, affluent, and eminently walkable French Concession. Your guide will be Patrick Cranley, founder of Historic Shanghai, the organization that hosted the World Congress on Art Deco right here in Shanghai in 2015. Patrick will describe the three main phases of Art Deco design using the many homes and apartment houses along the way, as well as evoke the lives and times of their former residents.
