A Painter and A Chef (POSTPONED)

Event Details

  • Date:

Unfortunately, this event has been postponed. Xie Cheng Cheng is a self-taught local painter whose work has been collected by many corporations and private collectors. Today, he will share with us the story of his life from being a fireman, to one of the very first professional models in Shanghai back in the 1980’s, to a hotel manager. During those jobs, he never gave up on his painting. Now, he is a successful painter and has been interviewed by different TV stations and magazines. Our guide Lisa Zhu will introduce Xie Cheng Cheng as we visit his back alley studio. We will be able to appreciate his art and taste a few dishes which he will cook for us in his own unique Art Deco restaurant in the Former French Concession.
