In 2012, China Central Television Station launched a documentary, A Bite of China. It tells the history and stories behind Chinese cuisine: its symbolism; the relation between nature and the people; and the creation of unique foods and traditional recipes. The documentary has been greatly received and screened in Singapore, Australia, and soon France. Our guide Lisa Zhu has selected some episodes and would like to invite those that love food and traveling to watch this production together. The 50-minute long episode will be in English and Lisa will combine it with some geography, history, culture, and traveling information. Members can share some dishes related to the show, including fried rice noodles with shredded pork and steamed buns with chicken, sweet BBQ or vegetables.
