In 2012, China Central Television launched a documentary, A Bite of China. It tells the history and stories behind Chinese cuisine—it’s symbolism, the relationship between nature and the people, and the creation of unique foods and traditional recipes. The documentary has been screened and well received in Singapore, Australia, and France. Our guide Lisa Zhu has selected an episode and would like to invite those who love food and travel to watch this production together. The 50-minute-long episode is in English, and Lisa will add some geography, history, culture, and traveling information, as well as take our questions at the end. The presentation will take place at Luccio’s restaurant, where a special set lunch will be offered to SEA members for an additional cost.
