We have all heard about Shanghai’s legendary nightlife as the “Paris of the Orient” during the 1920s and 30s, but on this tour, we’re going to try to relive it! Shanghai historian Patrick Cranley will evoke the atmosphere of those gin-soaked days while we take in the recently restored nightspots on our itinerary: The Great World, the Paramount Ballroom, and the Lyceum Theatre. Those so inclined may order their favorite tipples (alcoholic drinks) on a cash basis. Extra credit for those who dress in 1930s going-out attire!
