Chiang Mai, with its enchanting location on the Ping River, is popularly known as “The Rose of the North.” It is blessed with stunning natural beauty and a unique cultural identity. Join us on this short escapade to discover the beauty of this former Lanna capital.

DAY 1
Fly via Bangkok to Chiang Mai. Upon arrival, we will transfer to our hotel. Tonight, we will be treated to a traditional Khantok dinner and cultural performance and experience the night bazaar.

DAY 2
In the morning, we will visit the famous handicraft village and factories where we will see local silk and cotton weavers and observe how their deft fingers transform bamboo, paper, silk and paint into beautiful umbrellas. We will learn more about the woodcarving skills of local artisans and learn how lacquered boxes and silverware are made. The afternoon is free for our leisure, or perhaps a pampering spa treatment!

DAY 3
Today will be a full day of adventure. We will drive to Lisu Lodge where we will enjoy a gentle bike ride and continue with a one-hour elephant safari through beautiful surroundings. After a picnic lunch on the riverbank, we will take a thrilling one-hour raft ride down the white waters of the Mae Tang River. Afterwards, we will visit an Akha Hill Tribe village to have tea with an Akha family before our return to Chiang Mai.

DAY 4           
Transfer to the airport for the return flight to Shanghai.
