On this trip, we will see two of the most scenic areas in Sichuan province. First, we will visit Jiuzhaigou, a UNESCO World Heritage site best known for its beautiful waterfalls and dozens of turquoise-colored lakes. The local Tibetan people call these leakes haizi, meaning “son of the sea.”

We will also visit the Huanglong Valley, known for its remarkable landscape of limestone formations and approximately 3,400 multi-colored and terraced ponds. Like Jiuzhaigou, it is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Day 1
Fly to Jiuzhaigou via Chengdu. Upon arrival we will drive about two hours to the Jiuzhaigou Sheraton Hotel.

Day 2
Jiuzhaigou is located at the meeting point of three valleys and the name is derived from the nine Tibetan villages scattered throughout the area. Harmoniously blending majestic emerald lakes, layered waterfalls, colorful forests, snowy peaks and Tibetan folk villages, Jiuzhaigou is a natural jewel. We will spend the whole day here to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. To protect the pristine environment, we will move around in the valley by public electric bus. In the evening, we will be treated to a cultural performance of Tibetan dance & music.

Day 3
This morning, we will rise early and drive 160 km to Huanglong Valley which lies at the foot of Snow Treasure Peak, the major peak of Mt. Minshan. Here, we will see the beautiful Colored Terrace-Ponds, where approximately 2,300 ponds divide into eight groups, each with unique features and names such as the Greeting Ponds, Flowing Pools of the Waterfall, Potted Landscape Ponds, Fragrant Ponds and Jade-Bathing Ponds. Due to the varied depth of the ponds and many different kinds of mineral pigments and deposits, the water reflects a variety of vibrant colors. After our visit, we will transfer to the airport for our flight back to Shanghai
